The Mix is a multi-channel digital support service for under 25’s that supports two million young people every year. The Mix works with young people all over the UK, both those dealing with everyday issues to those in crisis—from bullying, debt, drink and drugs, mental health, sexual health, homelessness, money, relationships. Whatever a young person is facing, the Mix is there to help.
The challenges young people face are more complex and connected than ever before. The Mix is a unique combined digital service that offers support in the ways young people want. Its support is designed for young people by young people, and youth participation is embedded into its work—including accredited youth volunteering programmes, research and insight hubs, co-creation and consultancy work and advocacy platforms. All are designed to give young people a voice on issues they care about.
The Mix hits above its weight in terms of service provision and profile. In 2018, it was chosen as one of five charities to be part of The Royal Foundation’s Heads Together project, which highlights the issue of poor mental health in young people.
The SFF’s grant is helping the Mix to employ an Operations Director to develop the organisation and maximise its reach.
