Established in 2019, Rural Water Management Solutions is a Kenyan social enterprise committed to transforming water access in Kenya’s rural and peri-urban areas by championing profesionalisation management, with a focus to small and medium size piped water systems. By partnering with county governments, local communities and leveraging public-private partnerships, we are delivering innovative water management solutions that assure full functionality, commercial viability and quality water services.
We build and operate small water mini-grids through a Public Private Community Partnership (PPcP) Model, provide digital water billing and monitoring solutions and offer capacity development through training, coaching & mentorship.
With presence in 12 counties across Kenya, we have impacted more than 70 water supply systems leading to improvements in their functionality, a common challenge among the rural water systems in Kenya & Africa
Through a hybrid of grant and loan financing, Stone Family Foundation is supporting our business scaling strategy that aims at accelerating to a portfolio of at least 200 water utilities serving close to 1M rural residents.
