Water Global Practice at the World Bank

Strategic partnership  |  Rural sanitation in Cambodia  |  Enterprises in safe water

The World Bank is the largest multilateral source of finance for water and sanitation globally, with a portfolio of 175 projects worth US$27 billion in lending and technical assistance.

We have developed a strategic partnership with the World Bank in Cambodia to support:

  • Rural sanitation, supporting the Ministry of Rural Development to implement the National Action Plan for rural water and sanitation services and achieve its goal of universal access by 2025.
  • Piped water supply, focusing on improving and expanding piped water services outside the areas reached by public utilities.

Working with the World Bank in Cambodia allows the Foundation to play a strategic role in supporting both sectors in Cambodia to improve and expand water and sanitation services.
