Place2Be is the UK’s leading provider of school-based children’s mental health services. Since 1994, it has provided emotional and therapeutic support and expert training to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. It delivers a ‘whole school approach’ which means benefitting the entire school community from the parents to the teachers to the children. Place2Be’s vision is for all schools in the UK to have access to high quality, effective and evidence-based mental health support. It intervenes early to prevent life-long mental health issues developing, equipping children with the skills to cope with life’s challenges, enabling them to focus on their education and realise their potential. Place2Be’s goal is to double the schools it partners with by 2025, to 700. The SFF’s grant is supporting Place2Be’s safeguarding team.
