Birmingham Mind

Birmingham Mind (an affiliate of National Mind) supports people with mental health problems across the city. It provides residential care across several settings (care homes and a rehabilitation centre), advice and information, and talking support. Its helpline has become a gateway for accessing all mental health services in Birmingham and Solihull. Birmingham Mind works in collaborative partnerships with a range of local organisations, both to deliver services and actively challenge the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental ill health.

The Foundation has supported Birmingham Mind since 2011. Its current grant funds two roles: the Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager and a new Communications and Digital Transformation Lead role. This reflects the SFF’s interest in supporting organisations to develop high quality impact measurement practices.
