£300,000 | Funding 2019 to 2022
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem to take control of their own mental health and find the coping strategies and treatments that works best for them.
Each year, Mind’s network of approximately 140 local Minds deliver services to over 395,000 people in their communities, including counselling and therapy sessions, employment training schemes, peer support programmes, befriending services, drop-in centres and supporting housing.
Mind’s Infoline and Legal Line responds to over 65,000 calls, emails, letters, and texts from people each year. This is supported by almost 11 million web page views and 524,000 information booklets sent out each year.
This is backed by comprehensive policy, campaigning and anti-discrimination work which is focused on national and local campaigns on key issues and ensuring the legal system is working for people facing mental health problems
Mind is using funding from the Stone Family Foundation to support a number of local Mind projects across England and Wales through the Local Mind Grants Programme.
