Oxfordshire Mind

£331,000 | Funding from 2018 – 2022

For over 50 years, Oxfordshire Mind has supported people experiencing mental health issues. Oxfordshire Mind promotes good mental health through the provision of high-quality services and campaigns for positive change. It is affiliated to the national mental health charity Mind, and in 2019 was awarded the highest Mind Quality Mark for the excellence of its work.

Oxfordshire Mind reaches over 30,000 people per year across the county; working in partnership with other organisations to deliver wellbeing and psychological services such as peer support groups, art therapy, physical activity and wellbeing activities. They also provide housing support and benefits advice for people with both common and more severe mental health problems.

Our support is committed to strengthening and extending the reach of Oxfordshire Mind’s Wellbeing Services through embedding the participation of service users at all levels within the organisation; increasing the accessibility of our services for those who experience barriers to support; developing the recovery model and one to one support; and increasing income generation across the organisation.

The Mill, a centre on the Cowley Road for people with severe and enduring mental health problems, exemplifies the work of Oxfordshire Mind. Open daily, its facilities include wellbeing peer support and cooking shared meals in the Community Kitchen, as well as peer support groups and group activities.

Our funding also supports the development of Oxfordshire Mind’s Impact Measurement; measuring the quality and impact of services through data analysis. Oxfordshire Mind is developing its ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to evidence, develop and improve effective interventions.
