The OnSide model has proven to change the lives of young people across the country for the last decade.
The future prosperity of the country depends upon improving the life chances of disadvantaged young people. OnSide’s priority is to establish Youth Zones where they will have the greatest impact and has a strong presence in Carlisle, Manchester, Oldham, Blackburn, Wigan and Wolverhampton, with Warrington Youth Club also part of the network.
The generous support of community-minded leaders, as well as the dedication of staff and volunteers, who recognise the potential in all young people, are raising the hopes and aspirations of the next generation. Together, they’re all walking tall and helping to make things happen.
More than 23,000 young people are already benefiting from the offer provided by Youth Zones, but OnSide’s work is just getting started— there are plans to create 100 Youth Zones across the UK within the next generation.
As well as other live projects in the north—Wirral, Chorley, Preston— OnSide is taking the model to London, with another three projects on the horizon. Agreements have been made with local authorities in Barking and Dagenham, Barnet, and Croydon—where the Stone Family Foundation is a founding donor.
